Should I have a bucket list?
I have not seen the movie "Bucket List', but every one talks about their life's bucket list likes its the thing that is going to help them actually accomplish things in their life. I have thought about it a lot off and on, but I still can not decide if it is a useful tool to use to get shit done.
I think about what would I put on my list, travel goals? Food goals? Blog goals? House goals? Book goals? There are so many things that I think would be fun to do, BUT would I disappointed on my death bed if I didn't do it, no.
I would like to travel, I would love to go to Ireland, Dan has spoken about going to Budapest and we both have talked about Scotland. My cousin may be moving to France, visiting her would defiantly be on my "list" of places to go. All of this travel costs money though, and giant elephant in the room, no one is really traveling right now. Travel is something we both like doing, but I enjoy it more when it is just the two of us, so I am resigned to just not even think about it to much until the girls are all older.
Dan and I talk a lot about having a restaurant, him I think just as a passing discussion, me more as a dream, wish, hope? I do love cooking, I do enjoy making things that people enjoy, I would cook all day if I knew that the people who ate it truly enjoyed it. I think I ask Dan if he likes my food before he even gets a chance to finish the first bite. I am also super self conscious about it and don't believe anyone when they say they liked something I made.
I have been doing well writing down my thoughts this year. It may not be a post every day like I originally thought I could do, but even when I am not posting I am thinking about what I can post. I have added a lot to my plate this year and although I am proud of the work I am doing I do not want it to draw away from this blog. I do think I canmake something of this website, I just have to keep at it. Keep spreading the word, and learning new things to keep my page new and fun for those who come to check it out.

I am by no means able to live a minimalist lifestyle. I know this and I need to find a way to find a happy medium.
One of the things that I think I should have more of is books, I love to read, even though I honestly read more on my phone than I do real books anymore. There are books that I just think I should own even if I do not read them. Harry Potter series is one of the types of books I want in my library, I read those books probably once a year or once every two years. I also read the In Death series by JD Robb fairly frequently, then there is the one off books that I just love knowing that I own, Little Women, Jane Eyre, Harriet the Spy, the Odyssey and many more like that. Books have been such a big part of my life that to own them would be such a pleasure
To tie a couple of these together is travel based on my favorite reads. To go to London and see platform 9 3/4, to go to Turn The Page bookstore, based on a bookstore from a Nora Roberts book, owned by Nora Roberts herself would absolutely be a dream come true. To travel to Greece and see the where the Gods started and all the history there. I could base a whole travel list on places I would love to go to because I read about it in a book I love.
So do I need a bucket list? No, not really, I know things that I would like to accomplish but I do not need the pressure I would put on myself to get to and do the things on my list.

For the moment I am happy just knowing that there are places and things that I could accomplish, I don't feel in a hurry, I don't feel like I need to be rushed I have a family and right now that is my goal, that is my bucket list. That is my focus and whatever we do together is what is meant to be.
